To verify your identity, you will securely upload images of a government-issued photo ID and a live selfie or video for biometric comparison. Our advanced systems confirm your age and identity, compliant with UK regulations. We may also leverage existing verifications from trusted providers like Stripe or Yoti.
Absolutely. Your privacy and data security are our top priorities. Your sensitive ID documents and personal information are encrypted at rest and in transit, and are never shared with anyone or any third-party services for marketing or other purposes. We only send a simple "verified" confirmation to the services you wish to access. We are a Swiss-based company, adhering to stringent data protection regulations including GDPR.
There is a one-time fee of $1.99 for the identity and age verification service. This fee is non-refundable once the verification process has begun.
While BentID aims for a "verified once, always available" experience, re-verification might be necessary if your uploaded ID expires, if a third-party verification service we used has an expiry date, or due to changes in regulatory requirements or security concerns.

BentID model release forms are self-contained documents based on cryptographic signatures that can be verified externally from BentID and are legally valid documents.

When you personally collect, store, and share models' ID documents, you legally become a "data controller" under regulations like GDPR.
